Morning note
The morning note is the AI Assistant's daily summary for the people who run a club on the Club plan. It is shown at the top of the Morning notes view and sent by email every morning. This page explains how it is written and why you can trust what it says. What the note contains and how to work with it is in Morning notes.
The app finds the facts, the AI writes the words
The note is not the AI Assistant looking through your club. It works in two steps:
- Good Coach App prepares the day's list. Every morning, after 07:00 in the owner's time zone, the app checks every athlete with fixed rules: invitations, devices, workout plans, app visits, training breaks, who joined and who left. The result is a list of situations with their dates and day counts. The AI Assistant has no part in deciding what is on the list.
- The AI Assistant writes about that list. It receives the list, what changed since the previous morning, and a short guide to how integrations work. From that it writes the greeting, the one thing to know today, the to-do, and a tip.
Patterns across the club, such as "most newcomers have no workout plan yet", are also found by the app's own rules. The AI Assistant only picks the useful ones and puts them into words.
Every sentence is checked
Before anyone sees the note, the app checks every sentence against the day's list:
- each sentence says which athletes and situations it is about, and those must exist;
- every person a sentence names must really have that situation, and a task must name everyone it concerns;
- every number must be a count or a fact from the list;
- a sentence about something solved must name exactly the people it was solved for;
- no names may appear in the text, and no two tasks in one sentence.
If a sentence fails, the AI Assistant gets one chance to correct it, with the exact problems listed. If it still fails, the note is not shown: you get a plain summary written by the app instead, with the same tasks and people but without the AI's wording.
Names stay in the app
The AI Assistant sees every athlete and coach as a number, never as a name. Each sentence says which numbers it is about, and Good Coach App adds the names after it. That also lets the app group the names by coach in clubs where coaches split the athletes between them.
What the AI Assistant receives is dates and day counts only. It never receives health data, the reasons for or types of training breaks, comment text, or email addresses. See Privacy.
What it will and won't say
- It tells what changed since the previous morning. Something still open from earlier mornings gets a short reminder, not the whole explanation again.
- It names as solved only problems the previous note told you about. Anything else that was solved is mentioned as good news without names.
- It states facts plainly and reasons as possibilities: "no workout completions for a few days; it may be that the watch stopped syncing".
- It never guesses why an athlete did something, never gives a technical cause it can't see, and never says that someone stopped training or quit.
- It leaves out situations the office has marked handled or snoozed.
- It doesn't use or change AI Assistant memory.
Language and cost
The note is written once a day for the whole club, in the owner's language. It is free on the Club plan: it doesn't use the club's AI Assistant credits.
