Exporting workouts to Garmin Connect

Activating export to Garmin Connect

In order to use the function of exporting workouts to Garmin Connect, the athlete should grant export permissions during the process of connecting to the Garmin service.

Then, to enable this integration, the athlete, using the Good Coach App mobile app for Android or iOS, should go to Menu, then to Connections with external apps. There, select Garmin Connect integration, and then enable the option "Automatically export workout plan to Garmin Connect Calendar ".

Warning

If the option to automatically export workouts is invisible or inactive, disconnect from Garmin and reconnect, taking care to grant the appropriate permissions on the Garmin page that opens.

How does it work?

The app gives athletes the ability to export their workout plan to the Garmin Connect calendar.

Once enabled, all newly added and published workouts will be uploaded to the Garmin Connect calendar. They will also be updated if they change in the Good Coach system or if they are moved to another date or deleted. In Garmin Connect, the athlete will be able to further send the workout to their sports watch.

If the athlete wants to have a say in what is sent to the Garmin Connect calendar, they can uncheck the 'Export automatically...' option. Then, with the workout plan in the Good Coach App, they will have the option in the workout context menu to send the workout manually. This option will appear provided the workout is not completed, it will be a future workout. This option only appears for the athlete. A coach cannot manually send workouts to their athlete's Garmin Connect App calendar.
