Sport types
Sport types are an important part of the application. They allow easy grouping of training plans and training units to display their summaries. Sport types also help to group activity types.
The application contains predefined sport types that are compatible with the sport types sent by Garmin applications. They have also been mapped for other integrations.
In the Good Coach App application, we have the following sport types available: running, cycling, swimming, strength training, walking, stair climbing, training, fitness training, hiking, tennis, skiing, climbing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, rowing, team sports.
Trained sport types
In the web application, the coach should specify which sports are trained. This can be done in the coach's settings section on the Preferences page.
These set sport types are general sport types that affect the display of data for all coach's athletes.
However, it is also possible to specify the sport types trained by selected athletes. In this case, the sport types selected for a given athlete will take precedence over the sport types selected by the coach. You can choose sport types for an athlete on the athlete's performance data screen available from the list of athletes, from the context menu of a given athlete.
